Firefighter Physicals
The NFPA has established a standard for health evaluations to make sure firefighters perform at their best. This regulation (NFPA 1582) contains a list of requirements for medical testing and physical examinations.
This should be performed any time a firefighter joints the department, and annually thereafter. This includes items such as a physical examination, respiratory fit testing, lab testing, vision screening, hearing screening, lung testing, and heart screening. Here at Geer Care, we provide all of these tests for you!
